This role could be a full-time position on our team – or we could be open to engaging a consultant seeking their next contract experience.

Snowflake Data Architect | About You

As the Snowflake Data Architect, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, and overseeing the implementation of a Snowflake DW on Azure or AWS. You will lead technical decisions on all aspects of Snowflake features. Additionally, you will develop data management architectures involving batch, micro-batch, and real-time streaming of data in both cloud and on-premise solutions; and own the architecture and design of Big Data Pipelines.

Snowflake Data Architect | Day-to-Day

  • Deploy a fully operational data solution into production on Snowflake DW with technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Monitor.
  • Take ownership of technical solutions from a design and architecture perspective for projects in the presales phase as well as ongoing projects.
  • Document new and existing models, solutions, and implementation.
  • Utilize SnowSQL for command line, DDL, DML, and query syntax.
  • Build modern approaches to automating data pipelines.
  • Leverage code repositories and continuous integration tools.
  • Opportunities to demonstrate experience with predictive analytics.
  • Work hands-on with Cloud DW, Big Data, and NoSQL technologies.

Snowflake Data Architect | Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years in data architecture, analytics, design, and development.
  • Data Management experience including Data Governance, Master Data Management, Reference Data Management, and Metadata Management.
  • Customer-facing experience in a consulting or delivery capacity.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of SD/SN architecture and experience with AWS infrastructure and network design.
