MDM Analyst | Quick Overview:
The MDM Analyst serves a key role within our Data and Analytics Practice, working with clients to develop end-to-end data-driven solutions. Must be highly analytical with a proven ability to develop and reverse engineer complex solutions. Critical thinking and advanced problem-solving skills are core behaviors among the team.
MDM Analyst | Core Duties:
- Participates in workstream planning process including inception, technical design, development, testing, and delivery of end-to-end solutions.
- Designs, develops, and tests databases, data warehouses, data lakes, queries and views, reports, and dashboards.
- Performs data conversions, imports, and exports of data within and between internal and external software systems.
- Utilizes ETL and ELT for data transformation and integration.
- Understands bi-directional MDM and the role it plays in an effective Data Management Strategy.
- Uses a variety of tools and platforms which will continue to evolve, such as: Snowflake, Looker, Profisee, Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx, and Snowflake.
- Consistently uses advanced SQL experience: SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, T-SQL.
MDM Analyst | Key Skills:
- 5+ years of Master Data Management (MDM) experience.
- Able to quickly visualize data and create dashboards using tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, and Alteryx.
- Expertise with gathering requirements.
- Experience with PostgreSQL.
- Solid understanding of ETL strategies and design, (staging environments, data transformation, change data capture, slowly changing dimensions, etc.), with an eye towards delivering functional and useful solutions in a timely manner.
- Exposure to functioning in an Agile environment and utilizing Jira.
- Experience creating global BI Solutions and working with Cloud BI tools such as AWS or Azure.
- Deeply understands bi-directional MDM.
- Experience collaborating with on- and off-shore teams on multiple time zones.
- Strong problem solving skills
