UX Design Consultant | About You
As a UX Design Consultant, you are responsible for leading and managing research and design projects from initial conception through final delivery. You will leverage your UX knowledge and methods to solve UI problems to meet business needs. With innovative experience in both research and design, you can easily see the big picture and break it down into meaningful elements in a systematic manner for reuse and optimization. Dynamic communication with a start-up mentality, highly comfortable operating in ambiguous environments. You have a passion for user-centered design and a commitment to improving the user experience of digital products.
UX Design Consultant | Day-to-Day
Create visually appealing and user-friendly designs, considering factors like accessibility, responsive design, and cross-platform compatibility.
Conduct qualitative and quantitative research through surveys, card sorting, task observation, and interviews.
Partner with team members and business stakeholders to ensure usability, design consistency, and feature selection are aligned with project scope and delivery.
Assess existing digital products and recommend improvements based on UX best practices.
Transform complex data and information into a simple and usable user experience.
Ideate concepts, document user flows, assess navigation and architecture; and map current and future state journey maps.
UX Design Consultant | Skills & Experience
10+ years of experience as a UX Designer with 5+ years of leadership expertise.
Proven track record of defining, testing, iterating on, and delivering best-in-class digital experiences
Proficiency with UX design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Adobe, InVision, Figma, etc.
Expertise in leading and managing teams, clients, and multiple workstreams.
Strong knowledge of usability principles, information architecture, and user-centered design.
Skilled with tools such as JIRA, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, Typescript, Bootstrap, and Angular.
Experience working and leading a team in an Agile environment.
Exposure to working in a start-up environment and confidently managing ambiguity is preferred.
