Product Owner (AWS Glue) | About You

As a Product Owner (AWS Glue), you are responsible for partnering with business partners to create and drive solutions. You will take a progressive approach to understanding business impacts, quantifying resources, and evaluating/recommending technical solutions and delivery options. Skilled in leading and participating in Scrum Ceremonies as a champion for Agile methodologies, you have a knack for using relationships and rapport to motivate others toward a unified goal. You will create and maintain a prioritized product backlog, detailing features, user stories, and technical tasks, in collaboration with stakeholders.

Product Owner (AWS Glue) | Day-to-Day

  • Perform regular requirements gathering and building use cases for product roadmaps and deliverables, including data integration and transformation processes.
  • Plan, manage, and run internal and key stakeholder meetings, particularly addressing data pipeline needs using AWS Glue for ETL workflows.
  • Ensure information flow and related documentation follow appropriate processes while adhering to global compliance constraints and best-in-class practices.
  • Develop and communicate clear and compelling product vision to the development team and stakeholders.
  • Gather and incorporate feedback from stakeholders into the product development process.
  • Stakeholder engagement and communication, articulating risks, enhancements, impacts, and performance.

Product Owner (AWS Glue) | Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in application development, data analytics, machine learning, or data-centric development projects, with experience leading projects from scope through delivery.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Glue for building and managing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines, automating data workflows, and ensuring seamless integration with other AWS services.
  • Experience developing business and technical requirements to create product road maps, especially around data-centric solutions leveraging AWS Glue.
  • Background in leading Scrum Ceremonies and Championing Agile Best Practices.
  • Skilled utilizing JIRA and ADO for grooming stories and managing backlogs.
  • Strong understanding of building cloud-ready solutions and/or leading cloud modernization projects on AWS or Azure is required.
