This is a full-time position located in Indianapolis, IN with hybrid flexibility.
Tableau Developer | About You
As a Tableau Developer, you are responsible for developing dashboards and visualizing data to satisfy the needs across various lines of business. You are a partner to customers and stakeholders, seeking to first understand the business needs and challenges, and then complement those with appropriate solutions. You approach problem-solving agnostically, though you are highly proficient with Tableau. Exuding effective communication skills and a keen ability to articulate complex solutions to a variety of audiences, you will also evangelize adoption and lead end-user training for Tableau.
Tableau Developer | Day-to-Day
Serve as a partner to our clients and work to understand their business needs, identify root causes, and explore solutions that help transform their business.
Identify data sources, construct data decomposition diagrams, provide data flow diagrams, and document the processes.
Build and publish customized interactive Tableau reports and dashboards along with data refresh scheduling using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.
Create Tableau scorecards and dashboards using stacked bars, bar graphs, scatter plots, geographical maps, Gantt charts, and other visualizations as needed.
Perform detailed data analysis (i.e., determine the structure, content, and quality of the data through examination of source systems and data samples).
Effectively utilize Tableau Best Practices for visual analytics and storytelling to maximize the impact of visualization products.
Tableau Developer | Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience working within an Enterprise Data environment.
The last 3+ years of experience focused on Tableau Development as your primary job function.
Skilled with report migration from multiple legacy systems to Tableau.
Understand user-centric design techniques.
Strong SQL including tuning complex SQL statements and Stored Procedures.
