BI Developer | About You

As a BI Developer, you are doing hands-to-keyboard development, building integrated reports and dashboards to visualize data to satisfy the needs across various lines of business. Skilled with at least one modern BI tool, you have a strong desire to gain access to industry-leading platforms. You are comfortable operating in a tool-agnostic capacity, using your broad BI knowledge and core SQL skills to learn new tools with ease. You are interested in being surrounded by a team of best-in-class Data Consultants to build new skills and absorb hands-on training at every turn.

BI Developer | Day-to-Day

  • Develop advanced technical solutions aligning with business and client objectives.
  • Design, develop, and test databases, data warehouses, data lakes, queries, views, reports, and dashboards.
  • Merge BI platforms with enterprise systems and applications.
  • Perform hands-to keyboard development experience for building dashboards and reports.
  • Deploy solutions using BI Development Best Practices and leverage a conceptual understanding of user-centric design techniques for building best-in-class dashboards and the desire to grow knowledge around best practices.

BI Developer | Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of professional experience working in a technical role with progressive experience and skills working with data, and the last 2+ years focused as a BI Developer as your primary job function.
  • MSBI Stack: SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, and T-SQL.
  • Experienced performance tuning SQL statements and writing stored procedures.
  • Skilled with SSIS, Power Query, and DAX.
  • Experience migrating data from multiple legacy systems to a modern reporting tool.
  • Proficiency with at least one modern BI tool such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Qlikview, or Alteryx, and ideally, you have worked with at least two.
