Snowflake Data Engineer | About You
As a Snowflake Data Engineer, you are responsible for defining data requirements, developing technical specifications, and architecting scalable and efficient data pipelines. You have a strong background in cloud-based data platforms and services, along with proven leadership skills to manage a team of data engineers. You will optimize ETL architectures and ensure adherence to best practices, security, and coding guidelines. You will also work closely with cross-functional teams, offering strategic insights and reporting project status, risks, and issues.
Snowflake Data Engineer | Day-to-Day
Lead a team of data engineers in the design, development, and implementation of cloud-based data solutions using Snowflake, Fivetran, and Azure services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, develop technical specifications, and architect scalable, efficient data pipelines.
Design and implement data models, ETL processes, and data integration solutions to support business objectives and ensure data quality and integrity.
Optimize data architecture for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness, leveraging cloud-native technologies and best practices.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship, guiding team members in the adoption of best practices, tools, and methodologies.
Snowflake Data Engineer | Skills & Experience
8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on cloud-based data platforms and services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Extensive hands-on experience designing and implementing data solutions using Snowflake, Fivetran, and Azure cloud environments.
Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with advanced knowledge of data modelling techniques, dimensional modelling, and data warehousing concepts.
In-depth understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks, with experience in implementing security controls and encryption in cloud environments.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, communicate technical strategies, and achieve goals in a fast-paced environment.
